Card Index support

Manual dossiers, tasks, events, search and local files work without a Card Index service account. A new notebook starts empty. On-device voice recognition requires a supported, available local language model and speech permission. If recognition is unavailable, use text; the app does not fall back to cloud audio transcription.

You can review and edit the transcript. After your explicit agreement and Send, the command, relevant company name and minimal time/source context are encrypted for Tinfoil processing inside an attested environment. The model reads that text there. The whole catalogue is not sent. Free includes 20 admitted text requests per UTC calendar month tied to a confirmed service identity; provider errors after admission still count. Local dictation and edits are free. Proposed record changes require your save confirmation. A failed attestation or unavailable service does not trigger plaintext or cloud-audio fallback. Purchases, restoration and remote push are disabled on iOS.

Files and backups

In a connected remote source, selecting image, video, audio or other attachment files uploads them to that source. Local mode keeps attachments on the device; your photo library is not uploaded automatically.

CSV, Excel and vCard imports show a preview before saving. Choose a file in the app or open it from Files using Card Index, inspect the preview, then import or cancel. JSON backups use separate Add and Replace actions: selecting a file for Add starts a merge; Replace requests confirmation. On iOS, files requiring a password to open are unsupported. If you choose, export a readable copy in the original app. Portable exports are readable files; keep them in storage you control. Support does not need your working catalogue.

Account deletion

Use Organiser → Profile → Delete Card Index account. Apple-linked accounts ask for a fresh system confirmation to revoke authorization. Cancellation stops that attempt; errors remain unconfirmed. If you cannot complete the flow, support can verify and fulfil a service-data deletion request. Your local notebook, independent sources and Apple Account are separate. Safe requests

Never send passwords, verification codes, Apple credentials, private keys, source tokens, recordings or contact lists. For account requests identify the registered email; explain if you cannot access it. Support verifies ownership and confirms the actual result.
